Machine refurbishment
CNC Elite performs comprehensive technical refurbishments of CNC machining machines, from mechanical geometry to drive and control systems.
Our refurbishment is based on measurements, corrections, and technical rehabilitation of key assemblies, with the goal of restoring accuracy, stability, and long-term reliability of the machine.
We carry out refurbishments of both small and large CNC machines, including large horizontal milling machines (Boorwerk), portal CNC machines, and CNC lathes.
Geometry, guides, and axes
The accuracy of a CNC machine derives from its geometry and axis guiding system. Therefore, we perform a complete set of procedures for refurbishing and adjusting guides:
- manual scraping of guides
- correction and alignment of guides
- adjustment of axis parallelism and squareness
- grinding of sliding guides up to a length of 8,000 mm
- replacement and refurbishment of counter-guides (sliding linings)
- installation of PTFE and composite sliding materials
- manual machining and fitting of sliding surfaces
- replacement of linear guides and carriages
- elimination of backlash and unstable axis movement
- axis adjustment and compensation in the CNC control
For sliding surfaces, we use various types of industrial sliding materials, adapted to loads, speeds, and machine type, to ensure smooth operation, minimal wear, and long-term accuracy.
Refurbishment after collision or mechanical damage
We also perform repairs of CNC machines after crashes, collisions, and mechanical damage, which include:
- inspection and re-adjustment of geometry
- inspection of guides, spindles, and drive assemblies
- elimination of twists, offsets, and deformations
- re-adjustment of the machine according to a measurement protocol

- refurbishment or replacement of bearings
- preload adjustment
- testing of vibration, temperature, and runout
- alignment of the spindle with respect to machine geometry
Axis drive system
- replacement or refurbishment of ball screws

- elimination of axis backlash and instability
Servomotors and drives
- diagnostics and testing of servomotors
- refurbishment or replacement of damaged components
- verification of encoders and control regulation
- functional testing in real machine operation
Relocation and recommissioning of machines

- leveling, geometry adjustment, and startup
